For years, I've carried around a cheap disposable film camera. Since then, I've upgraded my photographic materials, but I often resort back to the limit of 27 shots from a drug store Kodak camera. There is something temporary about it. Something cinematic. There is a distinct beginning and end. These photos I've collected for years. From my travels, to moments with those near and dear to my heart, and even spaces and places I'll never return. Despite it all, these are moments that I've chosen valuable enough to transcend beyond time.
The best and only way to process this passage of time is to write. Combining these creates a story, rewrites narratives, and allows me to place myself back in that moment that will never return.
I think about you everyday.
